My calendar events are missing
If none of your meetings and appointments from your Google, Office 365, or iCloud have synced with SkedPal, you need to make sure you have selected the right calendars in your account. If you just connected your account but didn’t select any calendar(s) in your account, no events will be synced.
If some of the events are missing, please check if the missing event(s) are beyond the scheduling window? SkedPal only syncs events up until the last day of the scheduling window.
My task is scheduled outside of my intended timeframe
Please make sure you have properly set the option for Auto-defer. If this option is turned on, SkedPal automatically postpones the initial plan when needed. This option is available in the Settings->Preferences->Advanced Options.
My task is scheduled outside of my Time Map
Please make sure you have properly set the option for ‘Extend My Time Map(s)‘. If this option is turned on, SkedPal may schedule your tasks outside the desired hours when your schedule is tight.
I have some free time on my calendar but my task is scheduled for later days.
There are a number of reasons that your task is not using the open space on your calendar:
- The Minimum Block Length requirement for the task cannot be met.
- The task’s start date is set for a later date.
- The Time Map for the task does not cover the open spaces.
- There is a dependency with a gap set for the task.
- The task is in a sequence and cannot be scheduled earlier.
Lower priority tasks are getting scheduled earlier
If the lower priority task is time-bound and has limited time before its completion date, it will get scheduled earlier in order not to miss its timeframe.
However, if the lower priority task has a flexible plan, please check the section above.
My task is scheduled at the top of the calendar
If your task appears at the top of the calendar instead of a specific time of the day, your task is actually unscheduled. Please read this article for more details.
