There are a number of options that must be set before you start using the Status Tracker.
Instant Daily Schedule Update – This is what was referred to as the light version of the Update-schedule in the Slack community forum. The first checkbox is about activating this option
The second checkbox is about whether you want to re-schedule incomplete tasks on your calendar into the future each time the instant daily schedule is triggered. Note that the full Update-Schedule will always re-schedule incomplete tasks.
Activity History Preferences – If you want to actively use the Status Tracker, you should select ‘Time Tracking Log Basis’. The first option is for those who do not wish to opt in and want to use the completed tasks on the calendar instead.
Notifications – You can access this page from Settings menu on the left pane.
The details on this page are fairly self-explanatory. There are a couple of points to elaborate:
Using the Web App, hover the mouse over the task you want to start, and click the play icon
There are multiple ways to start an activity in the Status Tracker desktop app:
On the Agenda list, simply hover the mouse over the task and click the play icon
If you want to start an activity that isn’t on the agenda list but is in the Outline, use the Search tab to find the task and start it. This includes starting a parent task.
If you want to start working in a Zone, use the Search tab to find the task and start it.
You can also start an activity from the Favorites tab:
